Palm Sunday

Medication and their ‘side effects’ are something that troubles me greatly.  In the training we studied Irving Kirsch and I was sensitive to the notion of ‘The Emperor’s New Drugs’.  I am the one who dispensed the dosette box and insisted on it.  Which side effects are tolerable and permanent?  The memory loss, cognitive dulling…a head full of mashed potato, poor concentration, inability to read, tardive dyskinesia, binge eating, not eating, facial hair, stretch marks, lactation, puffy face, tired aching joints…sleeping sleeping…panic shaking hands….I have seen all of these and it is distressing to witness, too distressing…and to make it worse for all concerned the medicines did not help…we took them out of fear, trying to stay out of hospital….this did not work either…

PALM SUNDAY ..and Monday and Tuesday and Wednesday

It was ALL the PAMS,
– a grand PAM,
a whim-wham a flim-flam
Dol …drums…hum…drums
drumming
banging
clanging
PAM PAM PAM
Lorazepam
Diazepam
Temazepam
PAM PAM PAM
Napalm
And the purple pretty one
dizzzzy giggling…
OK?
KO
Another
grand
slam…
