Professional Interviews
Phase 3: Professional Interviews
As the research developed under the guidance of the research group it was decided that the opinions and experiences of professionals were vital in providing solution focussed outcomes for the research. It was therefore decided to conduct interviews with professionals within the Trust. The approach was less structured than that taken with the service user and carer interviews but similarly a ‘semi’ structured tool was co developed. This enabled the professionals to tell stories of recovery and care coordination from their practice. Professionals were selected by the Trust to represent different professional groups. Each professional was sent an information sheet. The projects principle investigator conducted the interviews on NHS property gaining face to face consent. (see Ethics). A briefing paper for the research was also offered to the participants to aid discussion.
Eighteen professionals were interviewed in total.
